As a perspective law student, I can appreciate how complicated the justice system is. I am in no way an expert in the law, but I am also not an idiot, and that is why I am starting this thread, because every single member on this board could have done a better job then Judge Dalzells.
For those who know the case, the Stalking of Laurie Show is a tragic one. Not only was her life brutally snubbed by a jealous girl, but even her family couldn't even get the proper justice in her name.

I'll try to summarize the best I can, but I also posted a link so you all can read the major injustice. I just want to see if I am not alone in thinking this.
Here's the story:
Lisa "Michelle" Lambert, along with her friend Tabitha, devised a plan to kill Laurie. They phoned her mother, pretending they were the school, so the mother left the house. While the mother left, Lisa and Tabitha forcefully entered the home and stabbed Laurie. Her mother returned home, after realizing something was wrong because the school never phoned, and she found her on the floor dying.
Laurie's last words were "Michelle...Michelle did it" before she died in her mother's arms.
Tabitha and Lawrence (Lisa Michelle thought Laurie slept with her boyfriend and that's why she had to die. She didn't. She was raped by Lawrence) eventually took a deal and confessed that Lisa deliberately planned how to kill Laurie and lure Hazel (Laurie's mother) out of the house.
They had both confessed, without ever seeing each other to conspire the same stories, that Lisa Michelle did it. They had given the prosecution first degree murder.
The Judge, Dalzell, eventually released Lisa from prison, and barred anyone from retrying the case. Lisa is now a free woman.
During the trial, Dalzell would criticize the police, and any witness the prosecution had. He even went one step further, when Hazel took the stand. While Hazel was remembering how she found her daughter, and crying because of grief, Lisa broke out into tears and the judge had the audacity to say "It's OK Miss [Lisa] Lambert. It's OK."
The prosecution couldn't accept his dismissing of first degree murder, and opted for conspiracy, which Tabitha and Lawrence were charged with, but he also dismissed it, making her, more or less, a free woman.
The link goes into for better detail then I can, but my question is:
Do you believe Judge Dalzell wrong, and if you were a prosecutor on this case, would you sacrifice your career to get justice, or your reputation to get him benched?
