Bizarre murder for hire plot unfolds in Lewisville by JIM DOUGLAS Bio | Email WFAA Posted on September 29, 2010 at 6:55 PM Updated yesterday at 1:12 AM LEWISVILLE — A man walked into Lewisville police headquarters Sunday night with a strange story. He told officers he met a woman named Billie Jo Mitchell through an online dating service. He said Mitchell and her apparent boyfriend Ariel Garcia then offered him money to kill Mitchell's husband and his girlfriend. "At the time he did not take it seriously," said Lewisville police Capt. Kevin Deaver. "He thought they were joking. Kind of blew it off. They were persistent. Kept text-messaging him, asking him if he was willing to do it." Police said all four people — the suspects and the intended victims — shared the same unit at a Lewisville apartment complex. Detectives were rolling tape Tuesday when the suspects allegedly solidified the murder deal during a meeting in the parking lot. Police arrested them on the spot. "This is definitely different. It's a complicated matter," Deaver said. According to arrest documents, Garcia, 21, and Mitchell, 24, both admitted offering money for murder. Mitchell said her husband treated her badly, and Garcia said he had been threatened with bodily harm. According to the arrest warrant affidavits, the payment for committing two murders was cash and a TV set — undoubtedly much less than bond set for each of the two suspects: $100,000. Garcia and Mitchell remain in the Lewisville jail. www.wfaa.com/news/local/murder-for-hire-104038923.html

A dating service to find someone for a murder for hire? Is that really the best route to go?? Not the brightest crayons in the pack are they?
